Tennis enthusiasts enjoy six Har-Tru tennis courts with a uniquely designed and newly constructed pavilion, separate Tennis Club Pro Shop,and an on-site Tennis Pro. The Tennis Association maintains an active schedule of monthly social events and a competitive tennis program.

The Callawassie Island Tennis Club Pro Shop is the place to go to have your racket strung or your grip replaced.  It also houses Tennis Pro Bill Hoppe's office and provides a pleasant and relaxing place to meet other tennis fans.

Bill Hoppe grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, where he learned to play and teach tennis while working for his father at the Bluegrass Racquet Club.  He was ranked in the top 30 in the South as a junior before playing college tennis at Georgetown College and the University of Kentucky.

Bill has been with Callawassie Island since 1995 and has enjoyed watching the tennis facilities and membership grow.
